Bekapai is a mature oil and gas field discovered in April 1972 and located offshore in water depths of 30-40 m, to the South East of Mahakam Delta, 15 km of East Kalimantan coastal line.
Bekapai Phase 2 project is based on good result in Phase 1, and recently Oil and gas stake remain to be produced in Western & Central panel, also Virgin reservoir in Eastern panel are identified.
The perimeter of Bekapai Redevelopment Phase 2B consists of :
• new development wells (drilled from BG and BL) :
o 4 wells with the main objective of attic oil production from Main and Upper zone, and gas production from Lower and Deep zone.
o 2 wells with the main objective of Shallow gas production and blowing-down the gas cap reservoir of the Main zone in Western & Central panels
• Platform extension for BG Platform to accommodate wells planned to be drilled from the platform.
• Platform modifications at BL, BA, and SWP-K
• New pipeline 12” x 12.6 km from Bekapai (BA Platform) to Peciko (SWP-K Platform), to further debottleneck the existing export pipeline capacity, in order to increase the gas export capacity for future production
PT Timas Suplindo was awarded Bekapai Phase 2B EPSC2 Contract will consist of Engineering, Procurement, Supply, Construction, Transportation & Installations of Offshore pipeline tied in to the existing platform.
